25 Oct Benjamin Moore’s 2024 Color of the Year Announced
We’ve eagerly anticipated the announcement of Benjamin Moore’s 2024 Color of the Year. They did not disappoint! They went all out with their press announcement last week for their galaxy-inspired color for 2024 – Blue Nova 825. The company introduced it during a live-stream press conference from aerospace company Blue Origin’s orbital launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
This saturated, vibrant blend of blue and violet “was inspired by the brilliance of a new star formed in space,” according to Benjamin Moore.
While 2023’s Raspberry Blush was a daring choice, 2024’s color is a muted mid-tone inspired by outer space. Blue Nova 825 is classically elegant and versatile. Try it on anything from a bedroom, study, or kitchen cabinets. It pairs well with neutrals for an understated look or with a bolder color for a statement.
Think of Blue Nova as a step back from traditional navy blue. Yet, it’s a color you can use on all four walls, or go for a more daring look and drench the room in color by painting the ceiling, trim, walls, and doors. That technique is known as color drenching, a trendy design statement in recent years, and we’ll be doing a future blog post on that.
Along with Blue Nova, Benjamin Moore announced their Color Trends 2024 palette, which offers nine other trendy shades that work individually or together. The colors are versatile enough to be considered traditional or modern. They can work in various spaces and elements in a home, such as cabinets.
