08 Dec First Day of the Project
One question our clients often ask us what they can expect on the first day of their project. Great question! You can expect a lot from us on any given day we are working on your project. Above all else, you can expect from our team professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
Here is what else you can expect on the first day of your project:
Depending on the scope of the work, there will be two to five crew members assigned to your project. For context: if we are painting an entire house of approximately 3,000-4,000 square feet, we’d probably assign five guys. Smaller projects would have fewer crew members.
We typically arrive between 8:00-9:00 am and stay until about 4:30-5:00 pm each day. Each crew will have a crew leader who will introduce himself to you on the first day. He is your point person on your home improvement project. He will also give you his business card with contact information in case you need to reach him after hours. If you have any questions at all about your project, you should reach out to him.
Our Report Card:
We believe in open and honest communication with our clients. Each crew leader will give you a self-addressed, pre-stamped report card. We encourage our clients to fill out the report card and drop it in the mail once we have completed their project. We want our customers to “grade” us using our report cards because it’s a great way to get feedback – whether it is good or bad. If there’s anything we can learn from a particular project or client, we are always open to it. As a small business, we know the importance of the relationships we build with our customers.
If you would like us to provide a free, no-obligation estimate on a project, please contact us to schedule. As a leading painting specialist in the Northern Virginia area, we are happy to come out to discuss your project needs.

The first day typically involves preparing the space, taping edges, covering furniture, and possibly starting with primer or the first coat. The duration depends on the size of the project but usually lasts a full workday.
